Junior Carlsbad Race

Once again, the kids had a blast racing in the Junior Carlsbad. Emily ran a mile, Paige ran a 1/2 mile, and Jack ran 100 yard dash. This girls ran their hearts out and earned their medals. Last year Jack didn't have a clue and was the last person to finish for the entire day. This time he was way ahead of the pack as the announcer commented that he may be the only one (in his heat) that knows what he's doing...then again, Jack runs everywhere these days...

On Friday night the girls and Chris and Papa went to the school father daughter dance. The

theme was "movie stars", so they went as Little Orphan Annie and Daddy Warbucks.

Rocket Cake

Paige wanted to make a cake for her student teacher- Mr. T's last day. At first she said to make a baseball because he likes baseball...which would have been really quick and easy, but just before I started baking, she changed her mind and said that I needed to make a rocket cake because he told her that he liked rockets when he was a little kid (no doubt, just commenting on her rocket lunchbox)...so...I recreated her lunch box...
