Paige had been begging us to take her to the snow all winter (guess she's still an Illinois girl at heart). There wasn't much natural snow yet, so we decided to go to this little tubing park. The kids eventually worked their way up to the steepest hill and had a lot of fun (unfortunately, the camera battery died before I could get video of them going super-fast down the huge hill). I knew Emily and Jack were going to love every second of it, but I was a little surprised that little Miss Paige, who is scared of roller coasters, loved it just as much!
It's 6 am and we hear a door open, then the pitter patter of little feet...then, a huge gasp! Christmas is especially delightful when little ones are involved!
The sun is obviously a little too bright for Paige in these pictures...
A fun filled day at Disneyland. Emily's moral compass had been thrown off a little because she knew she was missing school, but we weren't up to fighting the weekend crowds and her worry quickly melted away as she went on rides and ate a Mickey shaped pretzel. The lights and fireworks were spectacular and they even had bubble "snow". Paige went on her first real roller coaster (Space Mountain). She didn't want to admit that it was actually fun, so she just said that it was REALLY fast! Jack was thrilled that almost everywhere in the park, you could see a train going by.
