Paige's Last Day of PreSchool

Can't really say that I'm sad about parent participation preschool being finished. Paige will miss her friends, but will see some of them when kindergarten starts. This is a "replica" of the school. After seeing me create the tire, Paige wanted me put in the sand and all the other playground equipment too...sorry Paige, this is the best I could do. The children enjoyed being able to eat their own faces!

FABULOUS PRIZES!!!

Chris made up these "Gag" prizes for sports-type competitions his unit was having in Kuwait. The Marines loved them and I thought I'd share them too since they're pretty funny!

Jack-Jack's One Year Check Up

Jack had his 1 year check up today. That means lots of shots, ouch! Everything checks out fine (except for his tear duct of course). He weighed in at 22 lbs 9 oz and measured 30 1/4" (all in the 65%-70% range). His walking gets a little more steady every day. Lately, his favorite word (if you can call it that) is Shhh!--must have heard that from me a few times. :) His favorite foods at the moment are grapes (quartered of course) and bananas and any kind of meat. He is finished nursing and he's just a sweetie! Anyway, things are going fine here as the days grow hotter-trying to survive without Daddy around...and playing with the new puppy (we named "Cali").

Puppy!

Yes, finally after years of begging, Emily got her puppy. She's a 7 week old golden retriever. She's super sweet, quiet and mellow.

Chuck E. Cheese

Paige was the big ticket winner for the day. She won two jackpots and turned the tickets in for prizes...she even got Jack a little something for his birthday.

All tuckered out...

Happy 1st Birthday, Jack!

For Jack's 1st birthday, he decided to give up crawling and has chosen walking as his favorite form of transportation. He still takes a few spills, but remains determined! He also went to the opthamologist and found out that his tear duct probing was not successful and that if it doesn't improve in another month, he will have to have a stent put in for a few months. I know it sounds awful, but the doctor said that it won't be uncomfortable because it is tiny and is made out of the same stuff that contact lenses are made out of. Anyway, lets hope that massaging works this time!
