New Gear

Chris got some new gear and Emily decided to try it out. (We think she looks like the kid, Hogarth Hughes, from the cartoon movie, Iron Giant) It's a good thing that everything is green. If this outfit was black it would scare Paige because she is deathly afraid of anything that looks like Darth Vader (or anything else to do with Star Wars).

Swim Lessons

The girls have started swim lessons on base. Emily is in the Sea Horse class and Paige is a Flounder. Both girls are doing very well and have made great progress in just the first two classes. Paige's class requires that a parent swim with them, so Chris makes sure that he can leave work by 5:15 to be there with her (even if he has to go back to work after the 30 minute session). The only difficult part is getting Paige to get out of the pool after the class is finished because she just wants to stay and swim forever.

Trip to the Aquarium

These are pictures form our trip to the Stephen Birch Aquarium on Wednesday. As you can see, the cousins are having a great time. Emily liked the jellyfish and being able to touch some of the animals outside. Paige said she liked the sharks. The aquarium has made some improvements since the last time we were there. The kids also enjoyed the science exploration wing. You can see the girls practicing their camouflage skills in the above pic. (And how cute is Mia?!)

Beach Babes

We packed up all the kids and went to the beach yesterday. Chris had to work the past three Saturdays, so we had some much needed family-time. It was a bit windy, but that didn't stop Emily from frolicking in the waves while the cold water made her lips turn blue. Paige enjoyed rolling in the warm sand and making sand-angels. Jack had a snooze in his shaded car-seat while Chris and I looked on.

Welcome

Welcome to our family website! We hope this will help to keep us closer to all our friends and family across the globe. I will update this as much as possible with all our fun and mundane activities. Feel free to respond to anything that tickles your fancy. It would be nice to know that I am keeping this up for people other than myself. :) Enjoy!
