Matching Smiles

Emily and her friend, Hannah, enjoyed yet another win this weekend, then they went to Legoland for a little fun with their Daddies.

Coronado Speed Festival

From the website: "Staged on the runways and taxiways of NAS North Island with Navy aircraft and ships in the background, the Coronado Classic Speed Festival featured over 200 of the world's top racing machines from years gone by competing on a spectator-friendly 1.6 mile course. These vintage racecars are chosen to compete on the basis of their historical significance and certified authenticity. In addition to the racing action, you can tour Vendor Village, the Meguiar's Car Club Corral and the New Car Dealers Association Classic Car Collection."
YES, HE IS! Chris really enjoyed this car show/ race. He said that there wasn't anything lacking from this show...everything he could have dreamed of was there...so if you're wondering why I've posted so many photos, it's so that he will be able to come here and peruse them anytime he feels like it. (Amazingly, I left quite a few out) Of course, I can't name them all, but Chris could...and everything little thing about each one too!
Chris found that there were even cool cars in parking lot...he spied this $350K+ classic Ferrari Daytona just a few cars down from where our minivan was parked.
Since the show was aboard a Naval base, we also got to see things like jets and this hovercraft (similar to the ones Chris rode on in his last deployment).

Here are the girls with the Geico Gecko. I especially like him not only because our insurance is through them, but because today I got a call from them today saying that I had won the drawing for a $200 gas card (credit card).

I think Chris felt privileged to be in this car's presence: a 250 GT Ferrari worth millions. He got to see it race, but unfortunately they had put it away before we could get a good picture.

Jack - Plugged and ready for the races!

This one is for Chris' parents...who apparently owned one of these in the 70's.

Chris got to test drive this Chrysler 300C SRT8

Of course, we think this 1999 Chevy Venture minivan is the coolest car of all...so we drove it home like we do everyday. :)
