Thailand

From Chris:
Not sure if talking on the cell-phone while riding an elephant is illegal in Thailand!!
View from the water buffalo while I was riding.
Guy massaging chicken before fight.
Chicken Fighting
The chicken fight didn't last very long, the trainers were not interested in letting the chickens get hurt. I guess Water Buffalo fighting and Chicken fighting are big for illicit betting on the island.

Also saw the Heaven and Earth house and a Buddhist temple. It was neat, and it was pleasant to be around the tour guide who was so enthusiastic about his country. Learned in the Buddhist faith that your name is based on your birthdates. Also learned that different colors represent the different days of the week with birthdays. A lot of people were wearing yellow on Sunday and Monday. Turned out that Monday is the King's birthday and the people put up yellow flags each Monday. There were all kinds of monuments paying homage to the King. "Long Live the King" signs were everywhere. The tour was pretty neat and I had a good time! Fathers Day is the Kings birthday in December and Mothers Day is the Queens birthday I think in June.
Stingray was at the seafood restaurant
Cool tropical fruit that I ate and really good, had a hairy shell. I ate at least 10 fruits that I had never eaten before.

Patong Beach

Club Adaman resort grounds

"Heaven and Earth" House. Middle of house had this Koi pond with an opening at the top. When it rained, the rain would hit the pond but would not come into the house. This provided natural air-conditioning for the house and the fish prevent mosquitoes.

Gysgt's I live with, all good guys.
