Fall? I Don't Think So

Paige made up a game she called "Meatball"...she'd make a sand ball and then try to throw it into Spongebob's mouth on the boogie board.
Maybe a little colder than he expected!

Christopher Mifflin...Come on Down! You're the next contestant on The Price is Right!

Sorry, no pics...actually no cameras or cell phones aloud in the studio or parking lot! Today Chris, my dad and I went to the Price is Right. I think my dad has been wanting to go for many years and Chris got us tickets. It was an all day affair. We got up at 3:30am, picked up my dad at 4:30 and got there at 6:30 and we were still #109 in line. The processing took several hours and the taping actually started at about 2pm. I think Drew Carey enjoys it a little more than he appears to on the show...telling jokes and talking to the audience during all the breaks.

CHRIS GOT PICKED TO BE A CONTESTANT!!!

He wore his uniform and the producers just had to pick him! He was called down second to last so he only got to bid on a couple items and didn't make it any further. :( Oh well...we got a couple consolation prizes...that he's not aloud to disclose until the show airs on November 24th.

Overall, it was just a great experience...despite all the waiting, we had an unforgettable time. Thanks to Sarah for filling in for me today as mom! She even put cute little notes in the kid's lunches! :)

Preschool Orientation

Well, we've decided to put Jack in preschool...He'll start next week and go for 4 hours- twice a week. Apparently the old preschool on base suffer major damages when a sewage line broke and the building sank into the ground...so it was closed for several years and reopened last year. It is all nice and new...down to last block. He will be rotating classrooms in intervals. There is a cooking & science room, a gym, a library & computer room, a toys and music room, and a fantastic playground complete with a supercool trike path that I know Jack will just tear up! He can't wait to start...and maybe I can do something (fun) while he's there...like make doctor's appts. or go grocery shopping...or better yet, go swimming!

Jack's Preschool Physical

Jack had a quick physical for preschool. He is 37" and 33 lbs. That puts him in the 50%. He liked playing with the rubber gloves, and even put them on his feet and looked like a some kind of rare bird. The doctor liked that too.

Medic Mantis

Found this guy in front of the Naval Hospital. I guess he got a little dust bunny stuck on him while checking out the vending machines. I don't think he liked what he found because he seemed to be waiting in line at the coffee cart. I had no idea praying mantis' like their lattes too!

Baby Rattler

This little guy was found in front of one our neighbors' house.

Ice Cream Sunday

The kids now believe they live on the best street in the world since the soft serve ice cream truck stopped right in front of our house on Sunday night. Chris went for the chocolate dipped...Emily was supposed to share a banana split with me...but I bet you can guess how that turned out! :)
