Friday: Kyoto/ Tokyo

We started out this rainy Friday by going to Nijo Castle, then Sanjusangendo, then the Manga Museum. We did all this before lunch. Then we hopped back on the Shinkansen and went to Tokyo where we checked into the New Sanno Hotel (very nice military hotel). Then we had an amazing kai seki dinner courtesy of Diane's friend Ayako. The dinner was held in our own private room, no shoes, low table (with pit), 7 courses, and waitresses dressed in kimonos.
