We decided to have a "Girls Day". Chris and Jack took off to Home Depot while Emily, Paige and I had a day full of girlie things. We started off with facials and mani-pedis, then moved on to hair and makeup, then took a walk in our cotton sun dresses to collect wildflowers, then made an assortment of tea sandwiches and cookies which we enjoyed while listening to classical music. We ended the day by watching the 3rd Harry Potter movie (because Emily had just finished that book). All in all, it was a very lovely day- just us girls!

Pretty wildflowers. Must have actually had a rainy season there this year! Sounds like a really fun day. Maybe I can convince the boys to have a "day with Mommy" ;-)
as much as i love my boys - "girl time" is just the best!
